1. Introduction

The website ubratech.co.za ("the Website") is operated by UbraTech (Pty) Ltd, Registration Number 2026/160855/07 ("UbraTech", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, with its principal place of business in Knysna, Western Cape.

By accessing or using this Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Returns & Refund Policy, all of which are incorporated herein by reference.

If you are accessing this Website on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

UbraTech reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Website after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

UbraTech (Pty) Ltd is a registered South African IT reseller supplying computers, laptops, peripherals, networking equipment, security products, and related technology to consumers and businesses nationwide. UbraTech sources products through authorised distributor channels and acts as the seller of record for all transactions concluded on this Website.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to make purchases on this Website. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement. These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.


4. Products and Pricing

All products listed on the Website are subject to availability. UbraTech reserves the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or amend product listings without prior notice.

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at 15% unless otherwise stated. Prices may change without notice. In the event of a pricing error, UbraTech reserves the right to cancel the affected order and issue a full refund.

Product images on the Website are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may differ slightly in appearance. Accessories shown in product images may not be included unless expressly stated in the product description.


5. Orders and Contract Formation

Placing an order on the Website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected goods at the stated price, subject to these Terms. UbraTech reserves the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including but not limited to stock unavailability or payment failure.

A binding agreement between you and UbraTech is only formed once UbraTech confirms acceptance of your order by email. UbraTech reserves the right to cancel a confirmed order if payment is not received in full or if stock becomes unavailable after confirmation, in which case a full refund will be issued.

Adding items to your cart does not constitute an order or reserve stock.


6. Payment

UbraTech accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit card and debit card (via Yoco secure payment gateway)
  • Google Pay and Apple Pay
  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)

Payment must be received and confirmed in full before any order is processed or dispatched. No goods will be released until payment has cleared.

You warrant that all payment information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method in question. UbraTech will not be liable for any loss arising from incorrect payment details provided by the customer.


7. Delivery

UbraTech delivers nationwide across South Africa via reputable national courier services. Delivery terms, timeframes, costs and risk provisions are set out in full in our Shipping Policy, available at ubratech.co.za/policies/shipping-policy.

Key terms:

  • Standard delivery: 3–5 business days from payment confirmation
  • Free delivery on orders R1,500 and above; R200 fee on orders below R1,500
  • Deliveries made on business days only (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays)
  • Risk passes to the customer upon delivery
  • Ownership remains with UbraTech until payment is received in full

8. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Our full returns, refund and exchange policy is available at ubratech.co.za/policies/refund-policy. Key provisions:

  • Faulty items within 30 days: UbraTech will assist in accordance with the manufacturer's policy and cover return courier costs
  • Faulty items after 30 days: handled under the applicable manufacturer's warranty; return courier costs are for the customer's account
  • Incorrectly ordered or unwanted items: may be returned within 14 days if sealed and unused; a 15% handling fee and courier costs apply
  • Incorrectly delivered items: may be returned within 14 days at no cost to the customer
  • Non-returnable items include opened or downloaded software, custom-configured or build-to-order products, batteries, and items marked as Final Sale

9. Warranty

All products are covered by the relevant manufacturer's warranty for the period specified in the product listing. Warranty claims must be directed to the manufacturer or logged with UbraTech, who will assist with escalation where required.

UbraTech's warranty obligations do not apply where:

  • Repairs or modifications have been made by unauthorised parties
  • The product has been used in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer's instructions
  • Damage has resulted from negligence, misuse, abnormal conditions, or unauthorised alterations
  • Consumable parts have reached their expected service life

Consumers and SMEs retain all rights afforded to them under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), including the 6-month implied warranty on goods in terms of section 56 of the CPA.


10. Consumer Protection Rights

These Terms are subject to and do not limit any rights afforded to consumers under:

  • The Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA)
  • The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA)
  • The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA)

Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with the CPA or ECTA, the provisions of those Acts will prevail.

Specific statutory rights include:

  • A Consumer's 7-day cooling-off right in terms of section 44 of the ECTA
  • A Consumer's right to return goods in terms of section 55(3) of the CPA
  • An SME's 5-day cooling-off right in terms of section 16 of the CPA
  • The 6-month implied warranty on goods in terms of section 56 of the CPA

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including logos, images, text, product descriptions, layout and design, is the property of UbraTech (Pty) Ltd or its licensed suppliers and is protected by South African copyright law. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of UbraTech.


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Use of this Website is at your own risk
  • UbraTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damages arising from the use of this Website or the products purchased through it
  • UbraTech's total liability for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the value of the order in question
  • UbraTech is not liable for delays, interruptions or failures resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including courier delays, acts of government, natural disasters, or network failures

13. Privacy and Personal Information

UbraTech collects and processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available at ubratech.co.za/policies/privacy-policy) and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. Information may be shared with courier partners and payment processors solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.


14. Force Majeure

UbraTech shall not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, government action, civil unrest, fire, flood, or failures of third-party service providers. UbraTech will notify affected customers and endeavour to resolve or mitigate such circumstances as quickly as possible.


15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. UbraTech will always attempt to resolve disputes amicably in the first instance — please contact us at info@ubratech.co.za before pursuing formal proceedings.
